New algorithm predicts which online posters will be banned from just their first five posts

Your Bitemaster has been successfully flying under the radar for years, writing in the Comments sections of various websites that Hillary Clinton is “an ugly cunt,” calling Ted Nugent “a true American patriot,” revealing that President Obama is “a Kenyan Mau-Mau tar baby,” and sticking up for Louie Gohmert as “the smartest man in Texas.”

Now some Liberal Scientists claim to have devised an algorithm that will single out True Americans and get us banned from Social Media. It’s a Violation of our Second Amendment right to Tell the Truth on the Internets.

Lutheran Mark Born Proposes Abolishing the Sabbath for Wisconsin Workers

Lutheran Mark Born of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, has proposed a bill to let factory and mercantile workers “voluntarily choose” to waive the state requirement of at least one “day of rest in seven.”

When asked whether that would violate the Bible, Born said, “The Bible is for pussies.”

Chris Christie Privatizes Management of New Jersey Lottery; Revenue Off, Lobbying Costs Up

Christie’s push to privatize the lottery was billed as a way to make it run more like a business, but Northstar [the outside management company hired by Christie] today spends more and employs more people than when the lottery was run by the state.

Businesses are not designed to generate revenue for the state; they’re supposed to produce a profit for their owners. And the NJ state lottery is now doing just that, throwing off big bucks for

  • Northstar New Jersey — the management company that has fallen short of contractually-set targets. Christie unilaterally revised those targets downwards, saving Northstar from having to pay substantial penalties.
  • Gtech S.p.A — lottery privatization specialist, part-owner of Northstar.
  • Macquarie Capital Group — consultants who recommended privatization in spite of the NJ lottery’s record of high profits and low overhead.
  • Wolff & Samson — law firm of David Sampson, a Christie buddy. Hired by Gtech to lobby state officials.
  • Mercury Public Affairs — PR firm of Mike Duhaime, another Christie buddy. Hired by Gtech to tell New Jerseyans what a great job Northstar is doing.

Under Northstar, lottery revenue is off by ten of millions of dollars. But all is not doom and gloom. Mercury Public Affairs says the new lottery videos are quite popular on Youtube.

Lobbyist won’t drink the Kool-aid!

Dr. Patrick Moore, a  Monsanto lobbyist, claimed in a recent interview that glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide is safe for humans to drink. “You can drink a whole quart of it and it won’t hurt you,” he says. But when offered a glass of the stuff by the interviewer, Moore turns it down, saying “I’m not stupid.”

Hey, Pat! Here’s a tip that all the old PR hands will tell you: Either don’t claim one can safely drink a quart of the client’s weed killer or swig down the glass with a smile.

Lobbyist claims Monsanto weed killer is safe to drink, then bolts when TV host offers him a glass.

RadioShack could sell customer info in bankruptcy auction

Radio Shack’s assets are now up for sale in a bankruptcy auction. And those assets include customer names, email addresses and phone numbers.

Your Bitemaster is no lawyer, but, generally, a bankruptcy judge can void all contracts undertaken by the debtor. So if your PII isn’t protected by law, it’s probably going to the highest bidder.

Restaurant owner given a pass by Attorney General Schneiderman

According to the Daily News, Paul Hurley, owner of Desmond’s Steakhouse and Grill, failed to pay $100,000 in wages to over 50 workers.

So, did tough-talking NY Attorney General Eric Schneiderman make sure that Hurley spent some quality time in the slammer? Nah. All Hurley has to do is pay the money he should have paid in the first place.

Maybe next time he won’t get caught and can just keep the money. Or maybe Schneiderman can just Bite Me!

Good news! If you missed out on the mortgage bubble, you can still get in on the auto loan bubble.

Fueled by investors seeking better returns, the sub-prime auto market has been heating up. The lenders find people with marginal credit ratings and put up the money for them to buy cars at high interest rates. The loans are then packaged and syndicated to investors. The problem is that those packaged loans may be much more risky than their “ratings” would suggest.

You may not own such loans directly, but they could be in your portfolio through a mutual fund or pension fund. Even your bank accounts could be at risk if you carry a large enough balance.
