Homeless “advocates” jump all over program to make homeless into WiFi hotspots

Yes, a marketing company is paying homeless people $20 a shift to be mobile WiFi hotspots. But Partnership for the Homeless CEO Arnold Cohen (salary $242,000) says:

“It’s more than absurd — it’s stomach-turning . . . These are wonderful human beings who have lost their homes, and we need to understand the humanity of these folks and do something about it. And this is not doing something about it.”

No jail for $359 million con artist

It was the usual work-at-home, weight loss, free trial, colon cleanse, and tooth whitening offers. With the usual fake “as seen on Oprah” line.

No risk? Not to them — they charged your card as soon as you ordered, then wouldn’t give refunds.

  1. The perpetrator can bite me.
  2. The FTC can bite me for not pursuing criminal charges
  3. I presume that these guys are among the people running those obviously fake ads all over the Web. For accepting those crooked ads, the websites can bite me.

Right wing attacks Clint Eastwood as Obama tool. Are they kidding?

Eastwood is well known as a libertarian and fiscal conservative, but that ain’t good enough for some on the lunatic fringe. When he filmed a commercial for Chrysler, he was attacked for supporting Obama. This wasn’t a commercial for socialized medicine, it was shilling for a giant corporation, for goodness’ sake. What are these people smoking?
