Romney unveils new slogan; Santorum unveils new whine

Mitt’s new slogan, “more jobs, less debt, smaller government,” veers away from social issues while also positioning him for a run against Obama. I propose that Obama respond with “Saving Medicare and Social Security.”

Rick Santorum is bitter about Romney’s far better financed campaign outspending him in Ohio. Nevertheless, Rick said hopefully: “Money’s not going to buy this election.” I just don’t get it. Doesn’t Rick believe that rich people earned their dough by their hard work and smarts? So shouldn’t they be able to spend it however they want? Or is Rick coming out in favor of campaign spending limits? I think he just isn’t praying hard enough.

ALIENS BACK SANTORUM!

According to the Weekly World News, the world’s only reliable news source (How do we know that? Because they told us so. And they wouldn’t lie to us, because they’re the world’s only reliable news source.), aliens from the planet Zeeba are throwing their support behind Rick Santorum.

“The Zeebans feel that Rick Santorum has what it takes to lead the United States, and therefore, the whole planet.  The Zeebans are pro-family, pro-gun (but only laser guns for self protection) and anti-abortion (it’s illegal on Planet Zeeba to harm ANY lifeform),” Dr. Susan Begley, of the U.N. Panel on Extraterrestrials, told WWN.  ”They also don’t believe in marriage between two of the same alien genders. They think that it would ultimately lead to the end of a species.”

10 Catholic Teachings Conservatives Reject While Obsessing About Birth Control

“The right wing Republican politicians who have been denouncing the requirement that female employees have access to birth control as part of their health benefits as an attack on religious freedom completely ignore the church teachings they don’t agree with. Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich are both Catholics, and wear their faith on their sleeves, but they are hypocritical in picking and choosing when they wish to listen to the bishops.”
