When this year’s fundraising at Maine Family Planning came up short, the Christian Civic League of Maine declared that its prayers had successfully defunded abortion in Maine.
But God was mightily pissed at the pride shown by the opponents of women’s reproductive freedom and chose to send them a sign. The sign came in the form of more donations to the feisty family planners, eventually surpassing their goal by 20%.
As it says in Psalms, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all.”
