Michael Potter, CEO of Eden Foods, said through his attorney:

“In accordance with his Catholic faith, Potter believes that any action which either before, at the moment of, or after sexual intercourse, is specifically intended to prevent procreation, whether as an end or means — including abortifacients and contraception — is wrong.”

Corporate Deserters

“As more and more giant American corporations try to dodge U.S. taxes by moving overseas, Sen. Bernie Sanders on Friday announced legislation to ban those businesses from receiving lucrative U.S. government contracts.”

via Corporate Deserters – Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

Since corporations are people, shouldn’t they be taxed like people? And if they move abroad, shouldn’t they pay income taxes just like American expats?

If you are a U.S. citizen or resident alien, the rules for filing income, estate, and gift tax returns and paying estimated tax are generally the same whether you are in the United States or abroad. Your worldwide income is subject to U.S. income tax, regardless of where you reside.

The same tech is already in use in the US, where the Chicago Police Department recently  used it to sort through 4.5 million booking photos to help convict an armed robber.

Don’t blame Donald Trump for the demise of his Trump Plaza casino in Atlantic City. “I let them use my name, but I got out seven years ago. I have nothing to with it.”

If the casino were making big bucks, Trump would claim all the credit. But when it tanks, it’s someone else’s fault.

Oh, just Bite Me already.

Donald Trump says he has ‘nothing to do with’ closing of Atlantic City’s Trump Plaza casino – NY Daily News.

Never EVER gamble in Atlantic City!

Zeb [spying a card game]: Is this a game of chance?
Cuthbert J. Twillie: Not the way I play it, no.

It’s the same when you play against the house in Atlantic City. In 2012, 14 mini-baccarat players won $1.5 million between them thanks to the Golden Nugget mistakenly using unshuffled decks (oops!). What did the casino do? They sued the players and — hold your breath — they won! Yup, the gamblers have to pay back their winnings.
